WASHINGTON, Sept. 20 (Xinhua) -- Multiple victims were reported in a shooting on Thursday morning in Harford County, in the U.S. state of Maryland, local police said.

"We can confirm there was a shooting in the area of Spesutia Road and Perryman Road. Multiple victims." the Harford County sheriff's office tweeted.

"The situation is still fluid. Please avoid the area." the tweet went on.

The police said the shooting erupted at a business park area near Aberdeen, about 55 miles (about 88 kms) northeast of Baltimore.

Maryland Governor Larry Hogan tweeted that his office was closely monitoring the "horrific shooting" in Aberdeen.
