LANZHOU, April 7 (Xinhua) -- A fire that broke out at a chemical plant in northwest China's Gansu Province on Monday morning has left three people dead and two others slightly injured, local authorities said on Tuesday.
The fire started at around 10:40 a.m. on Monday at a three-story reinforced concrete structure of the company named Jinte, located in a chemical industrial park in the city of Yumen.
The blaze was extinguished at 12:14 p.m., while search and rescue efforts concluded at 12:57 p.m. The two injured individuals, who suffered minor injuries, are currently receiving medical treatment.
The cause of the fire is still under investigation. ■
