BUENOS AIRES, Feb. 15 (Xinhua) -- Marco Di Cesare and Adrian Martinez scored first-half goals as Racing eased to a 2-0 away win over Banfield in Argentina's Primera Division on Saturday.
Racing opened the scoring when Banfield goalkeeper Facundo Sanguinetti parried Tomas Conechny's header into the path of Di Cesare, who drilled the rebound in at the near post.
Martinez doubled his side's lead on the stroke of halftime by converting a penalty following Tiziano Perrotta's handball.
The hosts managed just two shots on target as Racing secured its second straight win, rising to seventh in Group B with six points. Banfield is 13th, two points further back.
Elsewhere in Argentina's top flight on Saturday, Talleres won 2-1 at home to Gimnasia Mendoza, Huracan edged to a 1-0 home victory over Sarmiento, Atletico Tucuman routed Estudiantes RC 4-0 and Independiente Riestra suffered a 1-0 home loss to Belgrano. ■
