LJUBLJANA, April 11 (Xinhua) -- Slovenian Foreign Minister Karl Erjavec showed satisfactory on Wednesday with Croatia's intention to attend a meeting about border arbitration lawsuit if the meeting will be called by the European Commission.

He said that Croatia's response was "proof that that the arbitration decision exists", the Slovenian Press Agency STA reported.

The European Commission said on Tuesday that it was proposing an oral hearing for May 2 about Slovenia's lawsuit against Croatia over alleged breach of EU treaties for failure to implement the border arbitration decision.

Croatia will provide a written response by April 17, according to Croatian Prime Minister Andrej Plenkovic. The newspaper Jutarnji List also reported the similar confirmation, said STA.

Slovenia presented to the European Commission last month a letter in which it set out its case against Croatia. It plans to take Croatia to the EU's Court of Justice over its refusal to implement the border between the two countries as set by an arbitral tribunal on June 29 2017.
